Ghreiwati Perfumes Kiosk, Dubai: A Boutique Island Unit for a New Fragrance Retailer
Location: Dubai, UAE · Year: 2017
Ghreiwati Perfumes was a new retailer, established in Dubai in 2017 and preparing to open in prime retail addresses across Dubai and the UAE with a premium collection of international fragrance brands. Before the shops came the kiosks, and the brief for the island unit was simple: it had to feel like a boutique, not a stand.
A boutique with no walls
Dark timber beams frame a run of backlit niches, one for each fragrance house, with the brand names lit above them. A central display holds the featured collection with lockable cabinets below for stock, and glass counters keep every side of the unit open to the walkway. A deep-blue back wall gives the white cabinetry something to sit against.

Plan and display
The plan puts the till and the central display in the middle so one salesperson can serve four fronts. The niches are sized to the bottle heights of the houses on the list, so the display looks full from opening day.

White lacquer alternative
A second mall had a lighter design code, so the same layout was developed in white lacquer with an open frame and the logo overhead. Same plan, same cabinets, a different mood.
