Digital Marketing for Food Brands: Massa Foods’ Website, Social Media and Content
Location: Damascus, SyriaYear: 2022
Digital marketing for food brands works when the website, the posts and the videos look like one brand. For Massa Foods, a snack maker in Damascus, Kenania designed the bilingual website and produced the social media designs and content, in collaboration with BIGBANG IT Solutions.
The project at a glance
14 agent locations across Syria
4 abroad: Oman, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Germany
- Oct 2022Arabic website live
- Sep 2023English version live
- Ongoingposts for every product line
Massa Foods (شركة ماسة فودز للصناعات الغذائية) makes corn snacks, chips and popcorn in Damascus, under lines that include SHARE IT, Golden Touch, Crespiana, Land Stix and Popinto, and its potato chips brand, Golden Potato, has a website of its own. In collaboration with BIGBANG IT Solutions, Kenania designed the company’s website and produced its social media designs and content.
Table of Contents
A bilingual website built around the product lines
The website went live in Arabic in October 2022, and the English version followed in September 2023. It is organised the way a buyer or a distributor looks for products: 16 product lines, a page for every product with its ingredients and nutrition facts, and a request button on each one. The agents page lists distributors in 14 locations across Syria and four abroad, in Oman, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and Germany, each with a direct call button.

The home page opens in the brand’s own voice, «قرمشها… وعدل مزاجك» (crunch it and lift your mood), with snack graphics that move as the page scrolls. Search, the Arabic–English switch and links to WhatsApp, Telegram and the brand’s social channels stay within reach on every page. Visit massa-foods.com.

Chat on WhatsAppSocial media designs for every product line
Each post gives a product line its own look, from the flames around SHARE IT to the purple and gold of Golden Touch. The Massa Foods logo, the website address, a QR code and the customer-service number stay in fixed places, so every post is recognisably the brand’s. The captions are written in the everyday Syrian Arabic the brand’s audience speaks.

Flyers, a catalogue and animated video
The same visual language carries into print, with flyers for new flavours and a catalogue of the product lines, and into motion, with an animated product video and short videos for seasonal campaigns. Watch the Massa Foods animation on YouTube.

What does digital marketing for a food brand include?
For a food brand, digital marketing is less about a single campaign than about keeping every channel consistent while the range keeps changing. It usually covers four pieces of work. A website that presents each product line with its ingredients, nutrition facts and where to buy it, in the languages of the markets it sells to.
A social media system: a template people recognise, a look for each product line and a steady publishing rhythm, so a new flavour gets attention without needing a new identity. Printed material such as flyers and catalogues for distributors and shops. And short videos, which carry a snack brand’s tone better than a static post. At Massa Foods these pieces were designed together, so a customer who sees a SHARE IT post, a flyer in a shop and the product page online recognises the same brand each time.
Digital marketing for food brands is a system, not a campaign
A snack maker with 16 product lines launches something almost every season. Digital marketing for food brands like Massa Foods therefore has to be a system that absorbs new products without redesigning everything: a website with a template per product line, a set of post designs with one look per line, and print and video that reuse the same graphics. When SHARE IT gets a new flavour, it gets a product page, a post in its flame look and a flyer, all from templates that already exist.
The order of work followed the audience. The Arabic site went live first, in October 2022, because the home market and the distributors read Arabic; the English version followed in September 2023 as export enquiries grew. Social media ran from the launch, in the everyday Syrian Arabic the brand’s customers speak.
Digital marketing for food brands starts with a website organised like a buyer thinks
The site is structured the way a buyer or a distributor looks for products: 16 lines, a page for every product with its ingredients and nutrition facts, and a request button on each one. The agents page lists distributors in 14 locations across Syria and four abroad, in Oman, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and Germany, so a shop owner finds the nearest supplier without calling the factory. Search, the language switch and links to WhatsApp, Telegram and the social channels stay within reach on every page.
The home page opens in the brand’s own voice, «قرمشها… وعدل مزاجك», with snack graphics that move as the page scrolls. That motion is not decoration: it carries the playful tone of the packs into the site, so the brand feels the same on the shelf and on the screen.
Digital marketing for food brands on social media: one look per product line
Each post gives a product line its own look, from the flames around SHARE IT to the purple and gold of Golden Touch, while the Massa Foods logo, the website address, a QR code and the customer-service number stay in fixed places. A follower recognises the line from the colours and the brand from the frame. Captions are written in Syrian Arabic, with the flavour names as people say them, and the posting rhythm follows the range: new flavours, pack sizes, seasons and the occasional distributor announcement.
Digital marketing for food brands in print and motion: flyers, a catalogue and animated video
In digital marketing for food brands the same visual language runs into print, with flyers for new flavours and a catalogue of the product lines that sales representatives leave with shops, and into motion, with an animated product video and short seasonal videos. The animation reuses the pack graphics, so it needed no new photography and matches the posts frame for frame.
7 best practices in digital marketing for food brands
- In digital marketing for food brands, build the website with a template per product line, so new products are pages, not projects.
- Launch in the language of the home market first and add English when export enquiries justify it.
- Put the agents or distributors page in the main menu; for a food manufacturer it is a sales page.
- Give every product line a distinct look on social media, the core of digital marketing for food brands, and keep the brand frame identical.
- Write captions in the dialect customers speak, not in advertising standard Arabic; digital marketing for food brands lives in everyday language.
- Reuse pack graphics across posts, flyers, catalogue and animation, so every piece reinforces the pack.
- Keep WhatsApp, Telegram and a request button one tap away on every page and every post.

Chat on WhatsAppHow we run digital marketing for a food brand
We start with the product lines and the packaging files, agree the channels and the languages, and design the website’s line and product templates first. The social media set is then designed line by line, with a caption guide, and the print and video pieces reuse the same graphics. After launch, the monthly rhythm is planned with the sales team around new flavours, seasons and distributor news, and each month’s designs are delivered in one batch with captions ready to post.
Before a digital marketing for food brands brief, prepare the product list by line with pack sizes, the packaging files, the logo and brand guidelines, the distributor list, and the channels you already run. The timeline for the website and the launch set is fixed in the written proposal; the monthly social media work continues from there.
